SPRING MEADOW

1 ball each yellow and green size 10 thread, I USED Aunt Lydia’s Classic crochet in Frosty Green and Yellow.
Size 7 steel hook
96 4mm pearl beads

CENTER FLOWER

With yellow, Ch 4, join to first ch.

Rnd. 1- Ch 1, 12 sc in ring, join in first sc.

Rnd 2- ch 1, sc in joining st,* ch 3, skip 1 st, sc in next st, ch 3* repeat between ** arnd. Join in
beginning sc. ( 6 sc, 6 ch loops ).

Rnd. 3- slip st in 1st ch sp, ch 1, * 5 wrap bullion st, 7 wrap bullion st, pull up bead to front of hook, 9 wrap bullion, 7 wrap bullion, 5 wrap bullion, slip st in next ch sp, ch1, * repeat between ** in each ch loop arnd. Join in 1st ch of rnd. 2. ( 6 petals ).

Rnd. 4- Ch 5 , sc in next sc of rnd 2,* ch 4, sc in next sc of rnd 2,* repeat between ** arnd. Join in first ch of beg ch loop. ( 6 ch 4 loops).

Rnd. 5- slip st in first ch sp, ch 1, * 5 wrap bullion, 7 wrap bullion, 9 wrap bullion, pull up 1 bead to front of hook, 11 wrap bullion, 9 wrap bullion, 7 wrap bullion, 5 wrap bullion, sl st in next ch sp, ch 1*, repeat between ** arnd. Join in first ch of rnd 5. ( 6 petals ).

GUMDROP POTHOLDER AND DISH CLOTH

Gum Drop Potholder:

Front:

1 ball each gumdrop and yellow will make a potholder and matching dish cloth. I used peaches and creme cotton., or any worsted weight cotton.

Hook size: F

Sts Used: ch, sc, roll st, revsc (reverse single crochet), x st.

Xst: sk next st, dc in next st, dc in sk st over last dc made.

Roll st: Wrap yarn loosely and evenly around hook 7 times, insert hook in indicated st and pull up a loop, yarn over and pull through all loops on hook, ch 1 to close.

Row 1: ch 4, join with a sl st in 1st ch to form a circle, ch 1, 6 sc in ring, join in 1st sc.

Rnd 2: Ch 3, 2 roll sts in 1st sc, 2 roll sts in each sc around, join in top of 1st roll st.(12 roll sts.)

Rnd 3: Sl st in sp bet roll sts, ch 3, 2 roll sts in same sp, *2 roll sts in next sp bet roll sts,* rep bet ** around, sl st in beg roll st to join. ( 24 roll sts.)

Rnd 4: Sl st in 1st sp bet roll sts, ch 3, roll st in same sp, *2 roll sts in next sp, 1 roll st in next sp,* rep bet ** around, join in top of 1st roll st, (36 roll sts).

Rnd 3: Ch 3, *sk next st, dc in next st, dc in sk st, dc in same sp as 1st dc made, x st with 1 dc inc,* rep bet ** around ending with sk 1 st, dc in same st as beg ch 3, join in top of ch 3, ( 9 x st and 9 dc).

Rnd 4: Ch 3, dc in next st, *2 dc in next st, dc in next 2 sts,* rep bet ** around, join in top of beg ch 3, ( 36 dc).

Rnd 5: Rep rnd 3, ( 18 x sts, 18 dc ).

Rnd 6: Ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, *2 dc in next st, dc in next 3 sts*, rep bet ** around,join in beg ch 3(68 dc).

Rnd 7: Rep rnd 3, ( 34 x sts, 34 dc ), don't fasten off!

Finishing: With Yellow:

Hold front and back circles together with wrong sides together and front of pot holder facing you, working through both pieces at the same time, sc in each st around, join in 1st sc, ch 10, sl st in same st, ch 1 turn, work 20 sc in loop,sl st in next st on potholder.

Work 1 rnd of rev sc all around potholder and hanging loop. Finish off.

Gum Drop Dish Cloth:

Rep rows 1 through 13 of Fall Roll st Dish Cloth using Gumdrop worsted yarn. Finish off.

Edging:

Rnd 1: Join Yellow in any corner sc, ch 1, 3 sc in same st, sc in each st across top and bottom, with 3 sc in each corner and 2 sc in end of each dc row on sides, join in 1st sc.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, rev sc in each st around, join in beg rev sc, fasten off, weave in ends.

About Me and Fall Roll Stitch Dish Cloth Pattern

I am a crocheter and a designer and I have been searching for a place on line to share my patterns with other crocheters! I am brand new at this so it may take me a while to figure blogging out! The dish cloth on the left is the first pattern I am posting here. This pattern has not been tested yet so if you try it and have any problems please contact me and I will help! It is called Fall Roll Stitch Dish Cloth and I hope you like it! I will be adding new free patterns as fast as time allows! I will try to post one a day until I catch up with myself! Please let me know what you think!

FALL ROLL STITCH DISH CLOTH

Size 10 cotton thread in 3 colors ( I used 2 shades of brown and an orange for the one in the picture) less than 1/2 ball of each. Finished size is 8" by 8".

Crochet Hook size F

Stitches used: CH ST, DC, Roll ST, Sl ST

Roll Stitch Inst: Wrap thread around hook loosely and evenly 7 times, insert hook in st or ch indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and pull through all loops on hook, ch 1 to close.

Special Inst: Work with 3 strands of thread held together through out!

1 ch 37, turn, dc in 4th ch from hook and next ch,* skip next 2 ch, roll st, ch 1, roll st in next ch, skip next 2 ch, dc in each of next 3 ch,* rep bet ** across, ending with 3 dc in last 3ch.

2 Turn, ch 3(counts as 1st dc of row), dc in next 2 dc,* roll st, ch 1, roll st in sp bet next 2 roll sts, dc in next 3 dc,* rep bet ** across, ending dc in last 3 dc.

3 Turn, ch 3, dc in next 2 dc, dc bet next 2 roll sts, *work 2 roll sts, ch1 , 2 roll sts in center dc of next 3dc group, dc bet next 2 roll sts,* rep bet ** 2 times more, dc in last 3 dc.

4 - 12 Rep rows 2 and 3 alternately for pattern.

13 Rep row 2. Do not fasten off.

rnd 1 ch 3, roll st in side of dish cloth (arnd post of dc,) sc in next sp of side, ch 3, roll st in same sc, sc in next sp of side, continue arnd, skipping 2 sts or chs bet roll sts being made on top and bottom of dish cloth. Finish off. Enjoy!
